Robert Smith is an internationally renowned consultant, motivational trainer and is an executive coach to high-flying business leaders as well as a developer and designer of leadership training programmes. Robert specialises in using the most powerful developmental psychologies to enable people to realise their individual potential.

Robert’s early career was spent at the cutting edge of management in the Retail, Fashion and Cosmetics Industries. His remarkable progress saw him as a Managing Director by the age of 25. After studying extensively with many of the original developers of Neuro Linguistics, along with achieving a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and a Masters in Business Administration, Robert soon found himself coaching and teaching others.

Robert’s corporate consultancy was initially in the UK, quickly and successfully moving into an International role. Some of the organisations Robert has worked for are IBM (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Motorola (Europe), Cable and Wireless (UK and Caribbean), Alstom (Europe), Solvay (Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia) and American Express (US and Europe). Other projects included being a Negotiating Adviser to the United Nations Peace-keeping force in Bosnia and Understanding Cultural Differences for various international organisations.

As a Leadership Mentor and Coach from the 80’s Robert has studied the dynamic development of personal psychology. In parallel with his personal development research he also studied therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy. Qualifications during this period includes Practitioner, Master Practitioner, Advanced Master Practitioner, Trainer and Master Trainer (Neuro Linguistics). Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy qualifications include Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, Advanced Diploma Transactional Analysis, Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Certified Hypnotherapist, Certificate in Counselling Supervision, Certificate in Solution Focussed Brief Therapy,Certificate in CBT and Reiki Master.

He is qualified and registered as a Psychotherapist with UK Council for Psychotherapy (980232) and British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (893639). Robert is a qualified Instructor of Hypnotherapy with the American Board of Hypnotherapy (H19263T) and is a member of the International Coach Federation (9012537).

Robert is both an Author and Broadcaster. His writings include many articles on a broad spectrum of subjects and a book on Negotiating. He has been called upon by ITN (UK TV) to comment on people issues in the work place. In Turkey he has been interviewed many times (TV, Newspapers and Magazines) about the use of Neuro Linguistics in Therapy, Personal Development and Business. He also writes a monthly column in the Turkish magazine ‘MAG’.

Current consultancies, trainings and workshops cover a balance of high profile corporate work, therapy and coaching (both doing and teaching) and training other trainers. His students over the last two years have been drawn from all walks of life and from nearly 70 different nationalities.
