She has worked with a new start business through a phenomenal growth phase, growing the business from 0 - 10 million with 27 branches throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. She was responsible for HR & recruitment and moved to Operations.
In 2007 she attended the University of Strathclyde and studied a Masters in Entrepreneurship. The course contained elements of NLP and stimulated an interest, which led to training with NLP Highland; she holds a diploma in NLP and is a practitioner certificate and is studying master practitioner.
Wendy is chair of the Fife Area Board for Young Enterprise Scotland, and also advises schools on business issues. Current business projects include coaching entrepreneurs, recruitment, market research, an exciting tourism project, preparing grant and funding proposals, franchise set up, and a new product launch.
She is currently a director of Freespirit Enterprise a company providing tailored business solutions, training and personal development for business owners and their businesses. She is also a full member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and a licensed Supercoach® (a coaching programme designed for entrepreneurs). Wendy is also a director in her husband's business, and set up and runs a café with her sister.
As an associate of NLP Highland, Wendy is looking to take NLP to the business world. She is also working on the strategic development of NLP Highland and growing the business to provide access to a wider audience.
Wendy has two children aged 13 & 14 and a border terrier called Molly. In her free time she enjoys walking and spending time with her family.
