Sally Vanson EVP
Sally Vanson is one of Europe’s most sought after business coaches. In 2010 she was nominated by the Association of Coaching for both their ‘most impactful coach’ and most influential coach’ awards. Her particular interest is in the coaching applications of NLP. She is a Professional Credentialed Coach with International Coach Federation and sits on both the global research and regulatory committees for ICF. Sally is a member of ANLP, ABNLP, the Professional Guild of NLP and the NLPU Training and Consulting Community.
Sally comes from a strategic corporate background where commercial achievements for record profitability led her to win recognition in the global Hanson PLC Middle Manager of the year award after which she moved into a strategic role working on mergers and acquisitions, was an employed management consultant and then Director of Human Resources for Mazda Cars before founding The Performance Solution™ in 2001. In 2002 Sally became a global partner with Dilts Strategy Group, based in San Francisco working with Robert Dilts on part of his Fiat contract.
Sally designed, developed and gained University accreditation for the first NLP based Master’s degree in the world. She graduated with distinction from the MSc in Organisation Development and NLP, and has completed a grounded theory Doctoral research study into identity alignment of senior partners in law firms. Sally is an NLP Practitioner, Master Practitioner, NLP Health Practitioner and Trainer Trainer, having trained with most of the ‘big’ names in NLP and spending 5 summers at NLPU in Santa Cruz.
Sally is qualified in advanced psychometric assessment at Level A and B through Saville and Holdsworth, is an MBTI™ and EQ-i practitioner and is a UK partner for the iWAM metaprogrammes training and assessment tool. She has a Further Education Teaching Certificate, is a visiting fellow at Kingston University, an accredited lecturer at University of Derby and assesses and supervises students at Masters degree level in Social Science post graduate degrees including those with a Business, Coaching and NLP element. She holds Assessor, Verifier and External Verifier qualifications and advises on APL and portfolio building for professional and academic qualifications.
Sally is Chief Executive of The Performance Solution, an international consulting practice, working with UK and international organisations delivering coach development programmes, NLP based work in communications and behavioural technologies, recruitment and developmental assessment centres, psychometric profiling, and executive and team coaching for personal effectiveness, visioning, strategy development and surpassing the operational challenges of the organisation.
Sally relishes her private 1:1 work, using creative techniques such as sandplay, with individuals who are committed to personal change. Private work can include couples’ communication, working with bullied children, strategies for dyslexia, interview and presentation preparation, and general life and motivation topics.
Having given up horse riding after breaking a leg in nine places, Sally enjoys travelling to far flung places and also spends her spare time walking her three dogs and narrow boating the canals of England. She lives part of each year in the French Auvergne and enjoys family life and cooking with her husband, daughter and two stepsons. Having completed her doctoral thesis she relishes ‘getting her life back’, reading ‘trashy’ novels and getting to the theatre.
